Second Annual Ladies Charity Table Tennis Tournament at Milton Keynes

The second annual ladies charity table tennis tournament at Milton Keynes Table Tennis Centre successfully concluded on September 6, drawing 14 female participants primarily from the centre's regular ladies-only sessions. Organised by Julie Snowdon, a Table Tennis England staff member and centre secretary, the event emphasised fun and fair play through a format of two group rounds leading to a main event and consolation final. The tournament raised £650 for Breast Cancer Now while collecting over 100 bras for recycling. The event leveraged existing community sessions to encourage participation across skill levels, promoting accessibility and enjoyment rather than competitive depth. Participants enjoyed the social aspect, with many noting increased confidence and community bonds formed during the event. Standard equipment was used without modifications, focusing on the core of the game.
